Optimus accessories idea — soft backpack straps clear of the shoulder joints

Optimus accessories

Concept idea, not official Tesla: a light fabric carry pack for a humanoid robot, with straps that sit flat and stay clear of shoulder joints and sensors.

This is a concept for Optimus accessories and other humanoid robot accessories: a small, light fabric pack for carrying gloves, a tablet or a water bottle. The key is straps that never pinch a moving joint.

Fit ideas for soft robot backpack straps

  1. Pick a very light pack with wide, soft straps and no hard metal buckles near the joints.
  2. Run the straps over the top of the torso so they sit inside the shoulder joints, not on them.
  3. Leave enough slack that both arms can reach fully overhead without the strap tightening.
  4. Keep the pack small and light so it does not shift the robot’s balance.
  5. Check that no strap, zipper pull or tag covers a camera or sensor.

Remove any accessory that rubs, snags or changes how the robot moves, and follow the maker’s guidance on what may be attached.
