An Optimus hat is a silly, useful robot accessories idea: soft fabric that reads as “dressed” for a demo without covering the head sensors the robot needs to see and balance.
Soft Optimus hat that clears cameras and sensors
- Choose a soft bucket hat, cap, or beret in light fabric — no hard brim wires that can scratch panels.
- Seat it above the visor band, cameras, and any cooling vents. If the hat shades a camera or presses a neck joint, size up the crown or skip the chin strap.
- Prefer a loose elastic or removable clip on a soft headband layer — not adhesive on painted covers.
- Walk arm and head range of motion with the hat on. If it shifts over the visor, remove it before any real task.
