Optimus phone pocket or strap — robot accessories for humanoid helpers

When a humanoid robot’s hands are full, an Optimus phone pocket or Optimus phone strap on the torso or hip keeps a phone ride-along for a person nearby — soft fabric, ports clear, no permanent mods.

Pocket vs strap

• Soft pocket: A fabric sleeve sized for a phone, sewn or clipped to a soft belt or vest layer. Easy for a person to drop the phone in and lift it out. Best when you want one dedicated phone slot.
• Strap or clip mount: A short fabric strap with a phone-safe clip or sleeve that rides at the hip or lower torso. Useful when you want the mount removable between tasks.

Either way, treat this as a person-managed accessory — something you put on and take off — not a permanent modification to the robot.

Clip points and ports

1. Prefer soft clip points on a removable belt, vest, or strap harness — not tape or adhesive on painted panels or joint covers.
2. Keep charging ports, status lights, cameras, and speaker grills clear. If the pocket covers a port you need, move the pocket or choose a thinner strap.
3. Leave room for arm swing. With the pocket empty, walk the robot (or move the arms through a normal range) and check that the sleeve does not snag elbows or hip covers.
4. Use a light phone load. Heavy cases and metal clips add swing weight; start with the phone alone.
