An Optimus tool belt is a practical robot accessories idea: a soft hip pouch or utility belt that looks busy for a demo without blocking hip joints, charging ports, or status lights.

Optimus tool belt that clears hip joints and ports

  1. Choose a soft fabric belt or pouch — no rigid metal buckles that can scratch panels or jam a joint.
  2. Seat the belt above hip articulation and clear of any side ports, vents, or status lights. If a pouch covers a light or port, shift it forward/back or use a smaller pocket.
  3. Keep pouches shallow. A silly small wrench prop is fine; a deep hard case that hits the thigh during a step is not.
  4. Walk a full hip range of motion with the belt empty, then with light soft contents. If anything rubs a joint, light, or port, remove it before a real task.

Priority order: lights and ports clear, then joints, then fashion.
