If the refrigerator water filter is new and seated but the dispenser still trickles, look behind the fridge. Pushing it back after the swap can kink the water line.

Check the fridge water line for kinks

  1. Gently pull the refrigerator out from the wall.
  2. Follow the thin water line from the wall valve to the back of the fridge.
  3. Straighten any sharp bend or flattened spot and leave a loose loop.
  4. Slide the fridge back slowly while watching the line, then test the dispenser.

If the line is cracked or leaking, shut off the valve and replace the line.
